Town on Harbour Island, Bahamas. It was built in 1790.

This painting was conceived in my mind the moment
I saw this wonderful Caymanian woman walking
across her yard in Georgetown, Grand Cayman.

Since starting scuba in 1991, my diving excursions have
taken me to the islands of Bonaire,Cayman Islands, Fiji,
Galapagos, St. Maarten, Cozumel and several Bahamian
islands.

Painting the villages and the people gives me a greater
sense of what island life is all about. It lets me enter into
their world for just a little while.

At the foot of Government Dock on the north end of Harbour
Island, Bahamas, you will meet Sarah,matriarch of the straw
ladies. At 89 years old, she doesn't open her stand often
anymore, because she says has the "grouch" in her foot.
