My need to express the wonders of the marine life I see on scuba diving trips
is what inspires me to paint colorful oil and watercolor paintings.
Underwater photography of the marine life and quick ink sketches after  dive
trips are later transferred to larger paintings in my studio.
I believe 'style' is a relative term and I have developed one which allows me
to most freely "recreate" the underwater world and the marine life I love.
Come with me now on a trip under the sea.
See the world through my diving
mask !!!
SPLENDID TOADFISH
8x10   Oil
Original   $110.00

On a trip to Cozumel, I found many
splendid toadfish hiding under corals.
They were very unwilling to be
photographed, so painting one was done
from a composite of many photos.
TWI LIGHT TIME
Oil  18x24
Original   $325.00

Twilight diving is such a different
environment than is day or night diving.
Watching the transition as it takes place
between the two is definitely intriguing.
There comes a split second when it
seems like there is no sea life at all. And
then as if on cue, the night creatures start
to make their entrance.

DOLPHIN SURF
Oil
12x12
Original SOLD

This painting was inspired by a
dive trip to Galapagos on seeing
3 dolphins only feet from us
.
This is the way that dolphins
should be seen...swimming and
playing freely, and not on  exhibit
at sea parks and zoos.
